TRAFFIC HAWK By Justin Mocha, BP Directory of Security for Allied Universal June 24, 2019
Traffic Hawk deployment will begin in the coming weeks on Boca Pointe Drive and Via De Sonrisa Del Norte.
Traffic Hawk is essentially a mobile radar device combined with a high speed camera. The device can be deployed anywhere on Boca Pointe property, detect the speeds of vehicles in its line of sight, and record video of vehicles it processes as violators. The speeding data combined with the video can be used to identify speeders and pursue a fine or other penalty.
Unlike our radar signs, Traffic Hawk is an ‘active’ deterrent, meaning that speeders on property can be identified. Please advise your guests, vendors, and neighbors to travel at or below the speed limit or they could be identified.
The Traffic Hawk system is in active use at many residential communities I have visited. At all these locations the units provide the means to enforce traffic violations, which in turn has led to a measurable reduction in overall speeding for these properties. I am hopeful that using these tools, and with everyone’s cooperation, we can continue to improve safety on our roads.
